Self-expression
We decided to share how are we feeling in a way we wanted to. A variety of resources were provided for the students to choose from. They were excited to share their thoughts creatively. They presented their creations explaining what they had made and why did they choose the kind of material they did.
Learner profile attribute - Balanced
We read the story "A Fine Fine School" by Sharon Creech. This helped students appreciate the need for a balanced lifestyle. We created a balanced schedule for ourselves. This was a good opportunity for us to reflect on what should be changed/ added to our daily routine for it to become balanced.
Total length around a shape
Students were provided with different things to find the length around them. They asked for different tools to be able to do that. Assuming each side of the square in our square ruled notebook is 1cm, we tried to find out the length of the shapes given. Students worked in 4 centers to measure the total length around a shape, verify if the given length is accurate and create shapes according to the length given.
The culmination of the literature circle
Students chose the format they wanted to choose to write the review of the book they had read for the literature study. They shared thoughtful reviews discussing their favourite part of the story, favourite character, why did they like the book, and so on.
Writing conventions
Ms. Elizabeth discussed the verbal representation of the working conventions like a full stop, exclamation mark, and capital letters. It was fun reading the sentences while using these representations.
We used this time to practice multiplication/division based on student choice and work on our portfolio with Ms. Chetna.

Kiarash enjoyed division and multiplication game. He was excited for literature study book Flat stanley. Thank yoy.
