SEL
The day started with Mindfulness. Today, Anvika volunteered to lead the session. We followed the steps shared by Ms. Latha. Today's session was based on listening skills. Ms. Latha had brought some very interesting conversation cubes and feeling cards. We worked in three groups based on the prompts.
Sound energy
Ms. Chetna was ready with some materials for an experiment. By now students are aware that we begin with making hypotheses. They were ready with their thoughts. Everyone got a chance to conduct the experiment and observe. Findings were very evident. The glass containing minimum water produces the sound of the lowest pitch. It increases as the level of water increases. We summarized our understanding by watching a video.
Fractions
We worked in three centres
Centre 1 Students had to roll the dice and draw to show the fraction.
Centre 2 Read the situation and represent through fractions.
Centre 3 Read the story problem and share the solution in the form of a fraction.
Required support to comprehend, solve and represent. We will again work on this learning engagement.
Maths journaling
We did this through the magical date today 22-2-22.
Two prompts were shared with the students.
1. Share things that are a pair or go well together. Students shared wonderful responses.
2. The solution was given to them - 222. They had to frame a problem. They surprised me with the kind of problems that were framed.
Unit celebration
Some students are ready with the ideas which they shared with the class. For students who have chosen to present an experiment, Ms. Chetna told them to present that in class tomorrow. The rest of us must share our ideas tomorrow.
Hello! Rishaan shared with us the various engaging activities he did in class today. He was very excited about the fractions and the unit end experiment. Thank you so much!
