Republic day celebration

Morning meeting
The day started with the Junior school assembly. After a recap of the essential agreements, students shared about harvest festivals. We moved on to discussing Republic day through a wonderful presentation. The newly elected student council members introduced themselves. Some students shared how would they want to make their country a better place. We ended the assembly with encouraging words from Ms. Latha and Mr. Abhimanyu.

It's Okay to seek help
We watched a brief video to appreciate that when we are such, it is ok to seek help. Students shared thoughts like what if the other person thinks less of us. Discussions helped us understand that friends are never judgemental about each and we should not bother about what others are going to think.

Division
Ms. Chetna shared a video. We paused at regular intervals to solve the problems that were being shared. This gave us an opportunity to get our doubts clarified. We discussed two strategies for division: putting in equal groups and repeated subtraction.

Listening Skill
Ms. Chetna shared an audio story. After listening, she posed some basic questions to support our compression. We worked in breakout rooms discussing the follow-up questions:  Some parents require their children to earn an allowance by doing work in and around the house? Other parents do not give allowance at all. Still, others give money to their children without requiring any work from them. Which system do you agree with most?

Student-led session
Kiarash shared an experiment, discussing the refraction of light. Ms. Chetna encouraged all of us to try that at our own end.
Vinddhya was ready with a Bamboozle game. It was a scavenge hunt. All of us had fun playing that.
