Assembly
The day with the assembly on celebrating Christmas and His Highness's birthday. Students had fun listening to Carols, watching stories, and reading messages from Santa Clause. Ms. Latha shared a presentation with some enriching information about AKDN.
Multiplication
Yesterday we had initiated the concept of multiplication. Beginning with a picture prompt we discussed repeated addition and skip counting as two strategies to understand multiplication. Today we solved some more problems and discussed the parts of a multiplication statement as:
Number of groups X quantity in each group = product
Students who are confident worked with Ms. Laila, solving the problems posed. The ones who required help worked with Ms. Chetna, understanding the steps and clarifying the doubts.

Network
Ms. Chetna shared a situation on the whiteboard and students immediately started responding with the solution. The follow-up discussion helped us share our understanding of the internet. We realized that it is part of the communication system. Ms. Chetna shared a video to help us understand that the internet is a network of computers that facilitate communication. We looked at the dictionary meaning which helped us understand that it means the connection between things/ people. We tried thinking to share different networks that we can identify in different systems that we researched. Ms. Chetna facilitated a discussion on networks in the transportation system by asking questions. Students are encouraged to think of more such networks and we will share the findings on Thursday.
