Summative assessment

Morning meeting 

The day started with a quick recap of the concepts discussed in this unit. It was nice to see students could recall many significant things we had discussed in the previous weeks. 

Human's impact on other living things

Ms. Chetna shared a video on how human actions is impacting other living things. We watched it the whole class and stopped at regular intervals to ask questions and seek repetitions. After which Ms. Chetna told us to share new learning by posting in the chat. Everyone posted their learnings, she gave us time to go through others' responses as well. We went back to the pre-assessment of this unit - the KWL chart and filled in the last column 'what I learned'. 

 Student-led session

Today's student-led session had a different format. The students ready to lead the sessions were put in different breakout rooms. All the others could choose the rooms they wanted to start and move on as the session was over in that room.  Abhyuddh shared the process of photosynthesis. He was ready with her drawing and explained the same in his room. Rishaan and Ruhaan shared about the organizations working for the welfare of other living things. 

Summative assessment

Today we culminated our unit with the summative assessment. Ms. Chetna shared an activity on Seesaw, She explained that we had to share our reflection about each line of inquiry by editing the template and self reflect at the end.  We worked in two breakout rooms with Ms. Chetna and Ms. Laila to seek clarification of the doubts we might have.

Early finishers choice board

Next week onwards we are going to use this choice board as a resource for the early finishers. This is going to be a homeroom session engagement, with nothing to be done later on. It has been shared with students so that can go through it and be ready with their choice.
