Subtraction

Morning meeting
The day started with great excitement for us. It was amazing for the students to see Ms. Chetna and Ms. Laila on campus. All of them We were expected to share an excerpt from our daily journal but most of us have not yet got into the habit of writing daily. Hence, Ms. Chetna suggested everyone start writing today so that we can share tomorrow.

Interdependence
Ms. Chetna shared a link in the chat for the students to watch a video at their own pace and share their takeaway through chat. Most of us could clearly understand the meaning and share examples of the same. Next to that, we worked on a Padlet. This was a new format of the Padlet where we could make connections between the pictures posted by Ms. Chetna as well as post our thoughts about the connections.

Subtraction
We started with playing an online game on subtraction. Ms. Chetna shared a problem to which most of the students indicated that they could solve it. That's when she added the condition of using a number line. Some of us required help so we moved to a breakout room with Ms. Laila. Next, we tried to solve the same problem using the number bonds/splitting strategy. Ms. Chetna shared her screen to help us understand the strategy better. We could connect it with using splitting for addition.

Sharing the project
Nidhi shared her project on human adaptation.

At the student's request, Ms. Laila logged in through her phone and showed them around. She also promised to give us a tour of the academy next Wednesday.
